We loved Katie and Michael's wedding at The Barn at The Old Bethpage Village Restoration! What a beautiful venue! There are endless opportunities for amazing spots and photos between the woodland trails, old barns and horse stalls, open fields, and the incredible interior and architecture of the restored barn.
The gorgeous and simple wedding "arch" of fabric, hydrangea, ribbon and wood barrel accents provided the perfect background to the open field in which they were married.
Katie and her bridesmaids and bridesmen (yes, you read that correctly - loved them!) did a fantastic job decorating the inside with the perfect combination of fun, farm, flowers and friendship. Everywhere one looked there was the perfect addition to the decor and vibe -the outside barn bar, the games, the giant hammered tin initials, even the barbecue and burgers served at dinner!
The entire day was just relaxed and flowed seamlessly. Maybe it had a bit to do with the awesome people present! Katie and Michael are one of the most easy going, super fun couples we have worked with! I hope they had as much fun with the photos as we did taking them!
Allison and Jonah, my two models had worked together before on a movie set (you can see their chemistry) and agreed to do a sunrise bridal session at the beach - something I had been envisioning for a while.I picked out a dress for Allison and then had it modified with extra fabric to create the beautiful flowing fabric effect you see in the images. I also ordered and handmade the flower bouquet she uses. I had a wedding the night prior, so I picked everyone up afterwards and we drove down to the beach at 9:30pm. We did not arrive and get settled in to sleep until around midnight. My amazing team got up at 2am to start hair and makeup and get to the beach. We arrived on the beach at 5:15am before the sun was even up and shot till about 7:30am before driving back up north.Despite the rain the night before and foggy morning it was, this shoot turned out better than i could have hoped for.
